This Saturday, August 18th, we will be holding a trail work party followed by our summer member meeting. We would love for you to join us!
Our trails are in need of extra attention right now, after a couple of wet event weekends. We have several locations in need of rebuilding, from basic grading to more advanced reconstruction. With your help we can get some of our favorite trails back in shape for the waning months of the season. While a lot of natural rebound has occurred, in amazing fashion, we've still got plenty of rehabilitation necessary.
Following the morning trail work, we'd like you to join us for our summer member meeting. We'll supply refreshments from some of our sponsors, but please bring some lunch to keep yourselves fueled up.
This summer member meeting is important because we really want your feedback. Running a member-supported nonprofit is a special opportunity. Our mission to develop and advocate for non-motorized recreational trail opportunities in the Ascutney area is something every member can and should contribute to by letting us know what you want STAB to be. How do you think we can contribute to the community? What do you think we're doing right or could do differently?
We'll start the work day at 8:30am, at the Ski Tow Rd Trailhead. For those of you unfamiliar with that name, it's the big parking lot below the ski slopes, where the last 3 weekend events were based. We'll work until about noon then begin the member meeting at 12:30.
If you have trail-building tools, great. Bring extras. If not, we've got some you can borrow. Bring gloves, water, snacks, and a lunch. We'll provide refreshments and some light snacks, plus a few little thank you items because we really, really, really appreciate your time and your ideas.
