Trail Day 4/22 and Other News

Quick update:

Tuesday Night Ride Has Begun

Starts tonight with the traditional road ride leaving from Skunk Hollow Tavern at 6:00. No drop, about 11 miles - half paved, half gravel.

It's hard to say when the trails will be ready. There is a bunch of rain in the forecast, but Saturday the 22nd (Earth Day!) we are joining forces with The Climb Fitness Center to clean up the trails for the spring. The idea is to remove the dead fall so that the trails can be blown, and to report where there are logs too big to move and locations that look like they won’t be drying out in the following week. Meet at The Climb (Hotel Rd. at Mt. Ascutney Resort) at 8:45 and heading out at 9:00 to clean up the trails - we'll be done by noon. Bring gloves and water - a handy saw would be handy.

STAB SPRING RIDE & MEETING - Saturday April 29th

We will meet at the warming hut (above the kiosk, by the rope tow) at 9:00 for a group ride (perhaps breaking into smaller groups by pace) followed by a member meeting at the warming hut at 10:30 to discuss the year ahead.

April is membership month

STAB memberships are from April to April, so dues are due now. Please continue to support our trails and activities again this year. If you haven’t already, please go to VMBA membership page and remember to choose STAB (Ascutney Trails) as your local chapter. While you are there, check out the great benefits you get as a member (very much like you have enjoyed in the past.)
