STAB Activities

Hello there, You've found the STAB Activities Page.  Here you'll find info for our group rides and other activities, like trail days, meetings and maybe even parties....  If you are a member of STAB, look here or the group ride forum to find out where the Tuesday night ride will be! If you don't see a block below entitled "Tuesday Night Ride", then you are not logged in as a dues-paying member of STAB (or have not renewed your membership for 2008), why don't you join now so you can stay up to date on the latest rides?

If you would like to get an email notifying you of group rides, register on the website and become a member.  The members only forum contains a group ride subject that when the little box is checked, the site will automatically email you whenever someone posts a ride or are looking to go for a ride.

The Tuesday night ride is for All Abilities!  Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced riders/runners/skiers are welcome.  There are plenty of people to have fun, offer advice and show you the trails.

Thanks and we hope to see you out on the Trails!

Monday Night Group Run

Hi All -

Below is the Monday run/hike info for September.

9/15 Meet at W. Windsor town forest at the end of Coaching Lane. I'm not sure what trails we'll run… we'll decide depending on who shows up… maybe South Ridge, maybe Pass the Buck, maybe the end of the 50. Suggestions?

9/22 Meet at Paradise Park in Windsor.  On County road, before you get to the hospital, the parking lot is on your right.  There are great trails in there! (tentative - we may run a section of the vt50 instead if trail scouting and/or light cleanup is needed - Lou/Erik let me know)

9/29 Meet at my house.  We'll have an EASY run on Ascutney mountainside trails and then some post run beers & food at my house to close out the summer.  (and to celebrate successful completion of the vt50 for all the people who ran, biked or volunteered the day before.)

Details:  Meet at 5:45 at the run location unless otherwise noted.  Or meet at my house at 5:30 and we can carpool to the trail head.
All ability levels welcome. Expect to be on your feet for 1 to 1.5 hours. (this does not mean its a 90 min run - you can hike so you don't have to be able to run that long, or at all, to join in.) Dogs are welcome but they need to be on a leash until we get to the trail heads.  Any questions?  Or ideas for a good place to run?  Send me a note or call.  And I encourage you to pass this along to anyone who may be interested… the more the merrier.

A few final notes… I'm sad to say that the last Monday run will be Sept 29th.  Thanks for joining in!!  \
